Fun Before Bed

Watch out Mary Lue Retton a new gymnast is in town. Kassie thinks she's pretty hot stuff doing somersaults when it's time for bed. She always pulls some sort of stall tactic when 8 o'clock rolls around.

A Little Girl Time

During Tommy's nap, Kassie and I had girl time. Kassie was absolutely trilled to have her nails and toes painted pink. She did very well sitting still and didn't mind "letting them dry", meaning she stayed in one place with her fingers and toes spread out. She convinced me to paint my toes too so we could "match".

Tommy's new favorite thing

Yes, Tommy cannot get enough of his big toe! He is absolutely fascinated with it. Why? I do not know, but it sure is hilarious to watch.

Captain Hook and Peter Pan

Kassie's favorite thing to do at the park now-a-days is to play "Captain Hook and Peter Pan". She, of course, wants to be Peter Pan but still likes to have a hook. (see said hook brandished below)

Her hook is rather frightening, I know.
Scraped knees are always a sure sign it's summertime.

Is there a doctor in the house??

Yep!! It is doctor Kassie. (Lee has one more year left.) I think Kassie actually prefers to play the sick patient because she is a bit of an actress. I have seen her put on a really good "I'm soooooo sick face"!! We asked her what kind of doctor she wanted to be and she said, "a feebian". Then we asked her what a feebian doctor does and she said, "this" and she ran around in a circle moving her arms while jumping. (She has been making up words lately. Tonight at dinner she said, "Mom, Dad, you guys are so interessable!" Which apparently means we're nice!)

A pudding break for working extremely hard.

Tommy is so smiley! He smiles at anyone who makes eye contact with him. Of course, Kassie is the one he goes goo goo gah gah over. She can make him laugh anytime.

Good Friends, Good Food, and a Good TIme

Happy 4th of July!!
"Fireworks, Fireworks, Fireworks!!!" said, Kassie as she jumped out of her bed yesterday. She was ready to see fireworks as soon as she woke up. I had to explain to her about ten different times throughout the day that you can't see fireworks during the day.

Kassie and Tommy posed in their patriotic shirts that they received from Aunt Sue.






Kassie made sure the Tommy was smiling for the next picture. We were invited to a barbeque at Dan and Shauna's house, we all had a wonderful time. Kassie drove the Powerwheels jeep and had fun in the swing

Kassie was playing with a sparkler until she was accosted by a police officer and threatened with jail time if she didn't extinguish this flame of doom.

Moments later Daddy and Kassie were happy after her first and hopefully last run-in with the long arm of the law.

Kassie watched most of the fireworks with one of her best friends Stephanine, she went to Daddy when they were really loud during the finale.

Tommy sat on his Mommy's lap looking confused after being awoken from his sleep.

Kassie went to bed at 11pm and woke-up at 930am the next day. She had a bit of a firework hangover.
