Ohio Visitors

Aunt Sue and Uncle Doug were in Arizona visiting, so they stopped by our new place.  We loved seeing them!  They were like surrogate parents to us while we lived in Ohio and Indiana.  So many memories we shared together.  I miss seeing them.

First day of school

The kids had a short summer.  School ended in June in Rochester. Then we moved and started early August in Prescott.  They were good sports about it.

Hello Arizona!!!

The kids and I made it to Arizona safely without any problems.  The kids were pretty good on the plane but I won't lie, I was glad to be done with flying.  We stayed with my parents until Lee and his dad arrived.  The kids were so excited to see their new home.

Jennifer was so kind and watched JD for a couple of days while we unpacked.  Unfortunately, JD got a bad case of hand and foot from the plane and gave it to his cousins.  Poor JD, his skin was covered in sores and was pealing.  He looked horrific.

Grandma Karen came to the rescue.

The kids found a few creatures around the house, outside luckily.

Our neighborhood has a fantastic pool right off the golf course.

We went to Out of Africa up near Flagstaff.  It was so hot!!!!!  We definitely got a taste of the Arizona heat.

We also got to spend time with cousins.

June and July are monsoon months in Arizona.

Good Bye New York

Moving across country was no easy task.  The kids and I had it easy.  All we needed to do was get on an airplane and that was it.  Kudos to Lee and his dad for driving for three days in a Uhaul with the van attached.

Saying Goodbye to Friends

The Peck-Creech kids lived down the street from us.  The kids played well together and were similar ages.  Sy, Violet and Harlen.
My running partner Emily was one of my best friends in Rochester.  We served in nursery together and she made me feel welcomed.
Emily's little boy Nathan was JD's little buddy.  They are only a few weeks apart.

The Merkleys!! We loved the Merkelys.  Their three girls were the exact same ages as Kassie, Tommy and Samantha.

Kassie isn't in the picture because she was said to say goodbye!

Kassie and Julianna were so much alike, smart, goofy, love of reading, beautiful and different.

We went to the pageant in Palmyra.  Abby and I got along really well. Too bad they can't move to Prescott.

Hershey Park

Living in Rochester allowed us to visit my Aunt Patsy and Uncle Andy Harder in Pennsylvania.  We had so much fun and they were wonderful hosts.
Uncle Andy took us to one of his favorite places, Hershey Park.  There was a bit of a hiccup before we left.  JD got licked in the eye by their big dog Casey right before we were to leave.  JD's eye swelled up like a balloon and was miserable the entire time.  The other kids had a blast and especially loved the rollercoasters, well not Tommy.  Samantha and Kassie were a bit more adventurous when it came to choosing rides.
There was also a water park and by the time we made there, the kids were getting tired, so we didn't stay long.
My Aunt Patsy is from Italy and is an amazing cook.  Her spaghetti sauce is well know in our family.  Luckily she sent us home with 12 jars.
The pool was a big hit.  They swam for hours.
We also went strawberry picking.
