I still have to paint the trim and put pictures in the frames but I'm very happy with the way the color turned out. Red can be an intimidating and difficult color but I guess when you choose a name like "Lipstick Red" you can't go wrong! Or you just become best friends with the paint people because you've been there so many times and they help you pick the right red.

Christmas Is Here!

Snow Gear

I don't know what it is about snow, but it seems like every kid loves to touch, lick, stomp on, and attempt to make a snowman no matter how much snow is on the ground. We braved the freezing cold wind, bundled up in our snow gear, and headed out.

I thought I'd add this last one because it shows what it's like to have an older sister who loves pink. Maybe Santa needs to give this poor little guy some blue mittens!

What do you do when it's cold outside?

I'm always looking for different ideas to keep us busy during the long cold winter months. So, if you have any ideas, pass them along!!

Here are a few things the kids had fun doing.

FLOUR!!! You must think I'm crazy for giving the kids flour but it kept them busy while I cooked dinner.
You can't go wrong with PlayDoh.

And an unexpected red and black guest Kassie found by the back door was definitely the favorite.

We built a fire.

I don't have a picture of the actual fire because we had a few issues with keeping it lit.
And Lee.........poor guy! I think the kids wore him out!
