B is for Birthday part II

Kassie's birthday party invitations took me a few days to make. The only request from Kassie about the invitations was that they were pink!

Kassie did have another request and that was, pink pony party decorations. This is the only picture of Tommy. He slept through the entire party.
When the kids arrived, they decorated their gift bags with fun Halloween stickers.

A little bit of Hot Potato and Duck Duck Goose.

And Pin the Tail on the My Little Pony. Notice the picture of the pony....Lee's artistic skills were put to the test. He whipped that pretty pony out in no time.

Kassie's birthday party couldn't be complete with out a pink pony/unicorn pinata!

By the time Kassie was done opening her presents, her very curious friends had moved up about two feet just so they could see the presents.

Can you tell?

This is our neighbor Yamana, Kassie's very good friend! Tommy calls her Mana.
This game was hilarious! The kids had to hold their hands behind their backs and eat a donut.
If you ask me if I'd do it again, I'd have to say yes!! Everything went really well and most importantly, Kassie had a blast!

First Roller Coaster Ride

A certain person has been asking to ride the pony at the zoo for a really long time, so we said that when it's her birthday she could. Well, little did we know, the pony rides close in October. That was something we found out when we arrived at the zoo last week. No worries though. When Kassie realized she was tall enough to ride the roller coaster, the pony ride was old news!!!
I had to get a picture of Kassie with her new puppy. She insisted that she take it to the zoo along with all four hair bows you see in her hair.

B is for Birthday!!

Kassie turned four last Friday and the first thing she asked me that morning was, "Mom, do I look bigger? Let's look at my hands!"
Nice diaper in the background.
Kassie's expressions were adorable.
She kept saying, "Ohhhh soooo cute!" No wonder why Tommy says things are cute!
I've had a lot of luck with Craig's List lately and that's where I got the doll house but it took me 45 minutes to clean the dog hair and dust off of it. Don't tell Kassie though!

Tommy got a "jealous gift," do you think he wanted to play with it, or with Kassie's new toys?

Garfield Park

Look at that "cheese"! You can't get any cheesier than that!!

Too busy to look at the camera.

Pumpkin Patch

Lee was able to take Kassie on her field trip to Beasley's Pumpkin Patch. Her preschool goes there every year and everyone loves it. When you arrive all the kids line up with the adults to get on the hay ride which is actually a trailer covered with straw. Lee said he hopped off the trailer for two seconds to let one mom off and to his surprise, his seat was taken when he got back on, so Kassie didn't get to ride with him on the way to the patch. Oh, and the adults have to make sure to sit on the edge to make sure no one falls off. So, I'm glad Kassie didn't fall off with out Lee there. I guess the seats on the hay ride/trailer are a hot commodity. Then when you get to the pumpkin patch the kids pick out a small pumpkin of their choice.
Kassie and her preschool class.
My own little pumpkin.
Sharing the loot with Tommy.
And then stealing the camera shot.

Camp out

Lee= very little sleep due to a wild sleeper who talks in her sleep
Kassie= 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Kassie's First Primary Program

Kassie's first Primary Program was a few weeks ago. Here she is with Tommy in her "new" sparkly dress I got off Craig's List. She absolutely had the wear it and picked it out weeks before specifically for the program! The program was very touching. There is something about young children when the sing and especially when it's "I Am a Child Of God". Kassie memorized her part where she went up to the pulpit and spoke into the microphone. Her part was, "I am a child of God. The scriptures teach me about Heavenly Father and Jesus and how to return to them". When Lee and I would ask her to practice her part, she would quickly respond with, "Mommm, I already know it!!!!"

The "Different" Parts of Louisville

Downtown Louisville had a lot to see, including very large inflated black and white monkeys with words on them. I guess there was some sort of gathering for people who have invented things. I don't know any details but we figured the, "everybody thinks they are right" went right along with it.

Not only were there large monkeys along the sides of the streets, there were a few cars that caught our attention.
Kassie wasn't jumping for joy about this small one of a kind hooptie! The heads and legs that we stuck on the hood must have been the deal breaker!
