Hershey Park

Living in Rochester allowed us to visit my Aunt Patsy and Uncle Andy Harder in Pennsylvania.  We had so much fun and they were wonderful hosts.
Uncle Andy took us to one of his favorite places, Hershey Park.  There was a bit of a hiccup before we left.  JD got licked in the eye by their big dog Casey right before we were to leave.  JD's eye swelled up like a balloon and was miserable the entire time.  The other kids had a blast and especially loved the rollercoasters, well not Tommy.  Samantha and Kassie were a bit more adventurous when it came to choosing rides.
There was also a water park and by the time we made there, the kids were getting tired, so we didn't stay long.
My Aunt Patsy is from Italy and is an amazing cook.  Her spaghetti sauce is well know in our family.  Luckily she sent us home with 12 jars.
The pool was a big hit.  They swam for hours.
We also went strawberry picking.

Our Last Days in Rochester

That driveway looks a lot better without a foot of snow on it.
JD wants to do all the things the older kids do.
Lee snuck out of the house to enjoy a quick nap.
While Lee and I were packing, Kassie was "watching" the other kids.  Some how a bucket full of muddy water came into the mix

Last Day of School

The kids had a fantastic year of school in Rochester.  Kassie and Tommy attended Fyle Elementary and Samantha went two days a week to CP Rochester.  I was very pleased with the education they  received.  Both Kass and Tom only had 17 students in each of their classrooms and Tommy's even had individual Learn Pads for each student.  Tommy's teacher was especially great because she helped him transition into a new school.  Tommy struggled a bit with all of the change in the beginning. Kassie made lots of friends that she still talks about.  Samantha did well too but missed Indy a lot and would ask to go back.  She did love her teacher Miss Karen and really bonded with one of the aides Miss Melissa.
Samantha's teacher was Miss Karen but there was also several aides in the classroom.  CP Rochester is a school that provides education for kids with Cerebral Palsy and other special needs kids.
