New Family Pictures

Can you believe these pictures?? I love the way they turned out! Tara worked her magic and got lots of great pictures of us. I'll post more later. Can you tell it was sprinkling during our photo shot?? What do you think was in Tommy's hand that we cropped out? It was a pink cell phone.
I am working on Lee's graduation announcements and thought it would be a good idea to add a family picture. I picked the first one to send.

Attack of the Goats

Our days in Columbus are quickly coming to an end so we want to visit all of our favorite places. One of the kids all time favorite places is the zoo.
I don't know why, but the goats really liked Lee. They wanted to sit on the bench with him and were even licking his arms. (Poor guy!)
Tommy was super excited about the goats. He kept pointing and saying, "Ooooo and that!"
Kassie loves animals. She picked a goat out that she named Blackie and followed it around.

A Night Out

Once in a while, Lee and I do get to go out on a date even if it is an AOA dinner but hey, when you're in good company, long speeches by doctors aren't so bad.

P.S. AOA stands for Alpha Omega Alpha/Medical Honors Society and do we have to say goodbye to our good friends?? I don't like goodbyes.

But then when the bouncy castle is out their moods change quickly.

Here are pictures from Raven's baby shower.
Oops?? is that what I think it is?????

I have been behind on blogging these days because the weather has been so beautiful. So, bare with me while I check up QUICKLY!

The Lastest News

I am happy to say that we bought a house in Indianapolis. We close on May 30th and plan to move in right after graduation. We will have to do a lot of painting to fix the red sponge paint and lighthouse wallpaper but other than that we are good to go. I can't believe we are going to live in a really nice house and sometimes I have "buyer's remorse". It's a little overwhelming at times to think about all the responsibilities that come with a house. I feel so fortunate to be able to afford something during residency. I also wonder if we really can afford it. Luckily it is such a buyer's market and Indiana housing is cheap.
I have to admit, I have spent way too much time on the Internet looking for paint color ideas. I feel so out of the loop with that sort of stuff. We've been renting for so long and have actually never painted in any of our apartments. It's exciting and fun.
The kids are doing well and they love being outside after such a long and horrible winter. Tommy loves to play outback especially. He can entertain himself by playing in the sandbox and exploring. Kassie is at the stage where she is afraid of anything that resembles a tiny little creature with legs. She also informed me that she doesn't like mud.
Lee is on his last rotation and has May off. We have so much work to do to get this place packed up. I've been in a packing slump so I better get going.
P.S. If you ever want to come to Indianapolis, just let us know. You are welcome to come stay with us. There is an awesome children's museum and we will have lots of room for you.

Spring Is Here.....I think!

What have we been up to?? Well, we just got back from Indianapolis. We took a quick trip to look at houses and meet our realtor. It was a successful trip. Not every thing went as smoothly as planned but the kids were great and we found a house that we are going to make an offer on. It is in a great neighborhood and it's close to the hospital. We will probably have to paint every room in the house along with the doors. The owners had a great time "experimenting" with red sponge paint and lovely lighthouse wallpaper but the price can't be beat.

Here are the kids in the hotel lobby. We got a smokin' deal off of Priceline to stay at the Marriott but we ended up having to pay $25 for parking, so it wasn't that great of a deal after all. Oh well, the bed was really comfy and the pillows were awesome but not worth an extra $25.

Tommy loves to point out noses and yes that is a fake fox.

We also went to the zoo. Lee got off early one day so he was able to join us. ( I love Rheumatology.) There weren't very many animals out. It must have been too cold for them. It was probably 55 degrees that day and we just couldn't be more excited for it to be warmer than 40. I guess 50 is the new 80. ( I read that on someone's blog.)

And, we have spent some quality time in the backyard. The sandbox and slide are finally getting some use.
I guess Tommy misses the snow.
