I am happy to say that we bought a house in Indianapolis. We close on May 30th and plan to move in right after graduation. We will have to do a lot of painting to fix the red sponge paint and lighthouse wallpaper but other than that we are good to go. I can't believe we are going to live in a really nice house and sometimes I have "buyer's remorse". It's a little overwhelming at times to think about all the responsibilities that come with a house. I feel so fortunate to be able to afford something during residency. I also wonder if we really can afford it. Luckily it is such a buyer's market and Indiana housing is cheap.
I have to admit, I have spent way too much time on the Internet looking for paint color ideas. I feel so out of the loop with that sort of stuff. We've been renting for so long and have actually never painted in any of our apartments. It's exciting and fun.
The kids are doing well and they love being outside after such a long and horrible winter. Tommy loves to play outback especially. He can entertain himself by playing in the sandbox and exploring. Kassie is at the stage where she is afraid of anything that resembles a tiny little creature with legs. She also informed me that she doesn't like mud.
Lee is on his last rotation and has May off. We have so much work to do to get this place packed up. I've been in a packing slump so I better get going.
P.S. If you ever want to come to Indianapolis, just let us know. You are welcome to come stay with us. There is an awesome children's museum and we will have lots of room for you.

Congrats! It is hard to imagine buying a house. Kenny and I have also been debating on what we can really afford and what we really need. I know that we need room to grow since we'll be there five years, but it is still a little intimidating! Let me know what you decide on paint colors! Fun fun!
Hooray! Talk about quick! How exciting!! I can't wait to come and see it. Grace asks everyday if today is the day we are going to "in-apple-lis".
Yeah! Aren't you excited to have a house. You are going to love it. Indianapolis is such a great place. How fun to paint and fix it up too. I am so happy for you guys, but still a little bummed everyone is moving away!
WOOOHOO! Homeowners congrats! The painting and decorating is the fun part!
How thrilling! I hope you post pictures when you guys move in.
I'd love to hear what you've figured out about paint. I too have never painted in any of our apartments but I'm thinking of doing a room or two in our next place. So, any input would be great.
Oh, you shouldn't worry about your house looking awesome and adorable! You have such great taste... you could start a new trend even!
Trevor has off May too... we must get together one afternoon at least! Cicero wants to play with Kas!
Everyone loved the shower invites, btw. Thanks! Your a peach!
See you tomorrow...
Congrats! Good luck with the move and can't wait to see pictures of your house!

I'm excited for you but sad that you are leaving. We need to have a few more get togethers before everyone takes off.
Let us know when you want to sponge paint . . . or not. We'll bring the salsa for the move in party!
wow, that was fast! sounds like it will be great, and nice to have some home projects to keep you busy while you adjust to a new place. i've heard the children's museum is great! maybe one day well be able to get up there.

That's so exciting that you bought a house! I'm sure you will LOVE it, despite the additional responsibility. My sister's brother-in-law is doing residency in Opthomology in Indianapolis and they love it! Can you believe you're done?!?!
