The New Me

Leave it to Ruth my friend and hairstylist to give me the most fabulous cut. I brought her a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly that. When I came home I asked Kassie if she noticed anything different about me and all she could say was, "Mommy, can I borrow your necklace?" I had on a necklace she hadn't seen before so she was completely distracted. I little bit later she did tell me my hair looked "nice". Last time I got my hair cut she told me it looked "funny".
I felt silly taking a picture of myself but I promised I would.

My Babies

Look at these two! How can I not be grateful to have such beautiful babies!! I am a lucky mom!
We've made it two weeks with Lee gone and only one more to go. There have been good days and not so good days but we're doing pretty well. At the end of each day, I think to myself that I can do this!
However....
I may have told Lee today that I only want two children but I'm sure I'll eventually change my mind, in about three years.
Kassie is laughing so hard at herself now that she sees how silly she looks.
She is trying to put on her pajamas on her own.

Kassie's First Day of Preschool

Well, it was her first half day. She was so excited this morning and got ready very quickly. Usually it's a bit of a challenge to get ready in the morning! I wasn't sure what she would say about going this morning because last night she told me "big girl preschool is too big for me"! I dropped her off and told her I would be back soon. I was extremely amazed that she didn't cry when I left. They had a parent's get together down the hall, a meet and greet type of thing while the kids were in class. I peaked in on Kassie before I left and watched her hit her head on the slide. She cried and cried and wouldn't just tell her teachers she dumped her head. Kassie pointed to a boat while still crying, so the teacher gave her the boat and that was that.
When I picked Kassie up you would think she would run and say, "Mommy, Mommy!" but she cried when she saw me. Yeah, that's how it goes I guess. Maybe she was just crying out of joy but I doubt it. She didn't want to leave is my guess.

"Mom, can you please take a picture of my back pack!"

I had to put this one in because it shows how cute and pretty Kassie's hair actually looks right after I do it.

Labor Day Weekend

Our friend from Jazzercise invited us to go to the Upper Arlington Arts Festival on Labor Day. The main attraction for Kassie was face painting. I didn't think she would like it but as you can see she did just fine.
I asked Kassie if she was taking a nap because she looked so relaxed with her eyes closed. She quickly said, "No, mom!".
When the man handed Kassie the mirror I thought for sure she would let out a scream or say "I don't like it!"

This cowgirl dance outfit was mine.
Tommy loves to make this face. He scrunches his nose while sticking out his tongue.
We borrowed our friend's Baby Bumbo for Tommy.
