Summer Gardening

Our small square foot garden has done amazingly well this summer. We have enjoyed cucumbers, snap peas (which were Kassie's favorite), tomatoes, bell peppers, and green beans. I was pleasantly surprised when we even had enough tomatoes to can salsa. Canning salsa wasn't an easy task but it was worth every second of peeling, removing all the seeds, and squeezing every tomato from the garden.

Well done! All of our attempts at keeping green things alive in our back yard in the summer have failed miserably in the desert heat. Summer is not the time to garden in Arizona.
