Two Little Munchkins

Here's an updated picture of the kiddos together. Kassie really likes to hold Tommy but as you can see it only lasts a few minutes.

Alum Creek

Lee has an incredibility easy rotation (he doesn't like it when I say easy because he still has "lots to do like work on his application") this month so we packed up the car this afternoon and went to Alum Creek in Delaware, Ohio. The water was surprisingly warm and the beach wasn't crowed. Kassie went swimming with Lee and did really well until a wave came and knocked her off her feet. After swallowing some water and being rescued by her dad, Kassie decided making mud pies was more for her.

Say What?

I have noticed lately there are a few phrases and words that are used frequently in our household. Who says what?
"Just a minute."
"But, I don't want to!"
"Shhhhhhhhh!"
"I will be right back. I am going to put Tommy down."
"I have to go potty!"
"Whaa, Whaa, Whaa!!"
"Mommy, I need help."
"You're my little munchkin!"
"Giggle, Giggle!"
"Mommy, can I have some milk, please?" (sometimes without the please)
"I will be right there."
"Whaaa, Whaa, Whaa!"
"Tommy's on his tummy!"
"Dinner's ready, let's go..........(pause).................Dinner's ready!"
"We have to be very quite because Tommy is sleeping."
"Why? Why? Why?"
"Babble, Babble!" (drool)
"Mom, can I watch a movie?"
"How do we ask for things?"
"Daddy's home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"What can I eat for a snack?"

Little Tom Tom

Tommy is five months today and I can't believe how time flies. It seems like yesterday we brought him home on that snowy day in Feb. It feels like he's always been here with us, like he just fits in. I won't lie and say it hasn't taken all of us some serious time to adjust but all in all we seem to be doing pretty well. I think each of us have "grown up" in our own subtle ways since Tommy arrived.

Kassie loves her little brother who she now calls Thomas on most occasions (it must be because I call him that when he's crying). She already tells him to talk by saying,"Tommy talk" and is looking forward to the day he starts crawling. Lately Kassie also has had a new found desire to play with the little guy's toys like his rattles and his blankets.

Tommy is quite the social little cutie pie. His favorite thing, besides his toes, is to smile at everyone. He's super ticklish and has the cutest laugh that you can't get enough of.
