Tommy turned 6!

6. What makes you happy? When I give hugs and kisses to mommy and when I pray

It was a "friend" year for Tommy.  The Flip Zone was a perfect place for 12 kids to celebrate his birthday.  The kids thought it was "totally awesome" and I thought the same because I didn't have to plan or clean up!  Tommy is a kid who tries hard to do what's right.  He has always been a rule follower and will tell you if you're not making good choices.  He fully admits to struggling with listening the first time.  I believe he really wants to listen.  Tommy definitely has a stubborn side! Wow!  He can sure on turn it on when he's frustrated or not getting his way.  Oh, but he can sure be a sweet boy who gives me kisses and helps me out.  I love it when he does that.  He continues to make improvements in many areas with his behavior.  He is getting along better with kids and doesn't get as frustrated with them and tries to say "ok" more often.  I have been throwing away one of his toys each time he screams no at me.  It seems to be working quite well at the moment, especially since I threw away one of his new Bionicles he got for his birthday.  Tommy does really well in school.  He switches classrooms for Centers and Reading.  He is working above grade level according to his report card.  He however isn't into reading like I wish he would be.  He's just not that interested but that's ok.  He says he doesn't like school that much because he doesn't learn anything new.  (whatever)  I love him to death and I am glad he's my son.
