Happy Easter To You
This Easter was a little different than we're used to. It was FREEZING! You can tell by the picture below of Kassie who looks like she is about to turn into a popsicle. She was a good sport and braved the cold.
I took her to Whetstone Park for an Easter Egg Hunt.
After the hunt we went to a Duckling Day Parade. I have always wanted to go and I'm so glad we finally went.
Here's my little duckling in her costume. There were lots of kids in cute duck costumes that they made.
My other little duckling was at home with Lee taking a nap.
Decorating eggs princess style.

Indiana Here We Come!
The envelope!! All of the med. students went up to the front of the auditorium to get their letters. They came back, sat down, and waited for the horn to sound and at exactly 12 noon everyone opened their letters. I think the lady waited an extra few minutes just to torture everyone.
Here we are. The newest Indiana Pacers fans. Lee says, go Suns still though.

What a day!! Yes, we are SO excited we matched in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lee said, "I knew it!" Well, I didn't know it!! I definitely had my heart set on Phoenix so we could be back with family but Indiana is a great place! I am always up for a new adventure.
Both of our families really wanted us to match in Phoenix so Lee and I were a little worried about their reactions but everyone is happy for us.
The program is awesome and there is a lot to do in Indianapolis for families. It won't be easy to leave Columbus I get emotional just thinking about it. We have had such a wonderful time here and have met so many amazing people who we will always remember and keep in touch with.

Eczema
Kassie has had eczema since she was 4 months old. You know, that dry itchy-reddish-rash that is usually in your creases. I tell you what, Eczema is not fun to have when you're little. Kassie used to scratch her skin so bad that it would bleed. Now that she's older and can tell us when she's itchy, the scratching has gotten a lot better. However, when a "flare-up"occurs it still really affects her. We feel so bad for her. We have tried lots of different treatments and we're still looking for something that REALLY works.
Here are a few of our latest attempts.
Mom's Stuff: A homeopathic salve that I found to be too stiff and it smells weird. Not my favorite but here's the website http://www.horseshoemountainpottery.com/momstuff.php if you want to check it out. There are some other neat things on the site.
This one is probably our favorite and the one we use the most. It's a little pricey but worth it.
Good old Aquaphor, recommended for all types of baby stuff, right?!! I think it's really greasy and messy and it gets all over their clothes.
Bag Balm is by far the most "interesting" one in the bunch. We've been trying it for about a week. It actually really helps dry skin!!! It does have a smell to it.
There's a funny story to tell about it too. After Kassie's bath, when I was putting the Bag Balm on her, she noticed the picture on the front and asked me what it was. I told her it was a cow's utter. Her immediate response was, "A cow's utter!! I'm not a cow! I'm a human! Why are we using it?????" At that moment, I felt really bad that I was using stuff you put on a COW'S UTTER..... but I figure it's worth a try.
Oh, and here are some of the medications we've tried.
Cutivate (when the redness is really bad)
Elidel
Benadryl
What do you suggest?

Galaxy Golf and Games
Cathy's new little baby Owen is a cutie!
I'm glad the kids didn't realize there weren't any tokens in the games! It made things a lot cheaper.
Tommy really wanted to climb up the slippery slide and got pretty frustrated when he couldn't. Here he is all tuckered out!
This is what I call the germ ball pit!

I don't know about you, but the kids and I are going stir crazy!! So, I was super glad when my friend Cathy called and invited us to Galaxy Golf and Games. What a great way for the kids to stretch their legs and get some exercise! Kassie and Nathan had the entire jungle gym all to themselves for the first hour or so. Tommy even had fun in the "little kids" area.
